Many kinds of embroidery are worked on scarves. 'Sozni' (needlework) is generally done in a panel along the sides of the scarf. Motifs, usually abstract designs or stylized paisleys and flowers are worked in one or two, and occasionally three subdued colors. The stitch employed is not unlike stem stitch, and only the outline of the design is embroidered. The fineness of the workmanship and the amount of embroidery determines the value of the Scarf. Sozni is often done so skillfully that the motif appears on both sides of the shawl, each side having a different color scheme. This naturally has a bearing on the cost. Other common type of embroidery that is called Aari or hook embroidery. Motifs are usually the floral designs finely worked in concentric rings of chain stitch. Doing embroidery on Pashmina takes lot of perseverence and hardwork. Since pashmina fibers are very delicate, doing embroidery is very time consuming.
Besides sozni and hookwork we offer other kinds of embroidery such as beadwork, crystal work, metal embroidery.
We have done embroidery for best known fashion designers around the world.
